Ricardo is a highly skilled craftsman, who is passionate about his plastering craft and has the conservation mindset of minimal intervention and carrying out an honest repair. He has an exceptional eye for detail and has gained the knowledge for his craft from working for many of the leading heritage, conservation, and restoration contractors within the UK. Ricardo is time served in solid and fibrous plastering and has a Level 3 City & Guilds qualification. Allied to this, he has a great wealth of knowledge in using traditional materials from lime renders to lime plasters, wattle and daub, sawn, riven lath and reeds, lime pointing and stone repairs. He is also highly skilled in conserving ornate plaster work from taking moulds to running-in cornice work in situ.

Jonathan started as a time served City and Guilds bench joiner and then worked for a main contractor out on site gaining a vast experience on many listed and ecclesiastical buildings. He, like his father, has a passion for historic structures and the traditional materials and methods of building. Working his way up to management level gaining a BSc (Hons) in Building Maintenance Management and further to a MSc in Building Conservation and Regeneration. He has worked at management level for many of the leading conservation and restoration contractors throughout the UK. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building holding the status of MCIOB. Working from hands-on and being able to compile tenders and budgets, he has developed a diverse set of skills throughout the field of building conservation.
